Netra

Dynamic Island for your Mac notch.

Netra keeps two little eyes beside it, watching the cursor with a few small moods.

Looking for a dynamic island for mac? Netra is a mac notch app that turns the camera cutout into a working Dynamic Island. macOS does not ship a Dynamic Island — Netra adds one around the notch, with controls for YouTube Music, Spotify, and Apple Music, plus focus mode and eyes that stay up there with it.

A Dynamic Island for Mac is a live control surface that sits in the MacBook’s camera notch — the same idea as on iPhone, adapted to the laptop cutout. Notched MacBooks (MacBook Pro 2021+ and MacBook Air M2+) have that hardware notch. Netra shows music controls, focus mode, and two eyes beside the notch in that space.

Music on the notch

Control YouTube Music, Spotify, and Apple Music from the same Dynamic Island. The notch can show artwork, play/pause, and skip — so you are not hunting for the player window mid-flow.

Focus mode

Start a timed focus mode session from the notch when you need a short stretch of uninterrupted work. The island stays available without opening another app window.

Eyes beside the notch

Two mini eyes sit beside the notch and keep watch while you work. They are cursor tracking eyes: they blink, glance around, and look pleased, sleepy, or unimpressed. In short, eyes that follow your cursor — a small presence other notch music apps leave blank.

More than a music widget

Other Mac notch apps already do music. Netra keeps a working Dynamic Island and two eyes up there — so the cutout stays useful and a little alive.
